JIM…..MEDINA TWIN SIZZLER, 10K

Race recap- Medina Twin Sizzler – 4th of July – this was the 40th edition

Hard to believe but the Sizzler this year was help with temps in the 70’s – actually a little cold prior to the start of the race – Usually the weather on the 4th of July in Medina is hot and sticky. Overall a good race – I did the 10K run – there was also a 5K and a 25 mile bike course – the 5K start time is set so you can double and do the 10K or cross over and do the 25 mile bike. For those who have not done the Sizzler before the race starts and ends in the square in Medina and goes through neighborhood streets to the south. The course is challenging – you start with a quick, fairly steep down hill and then start climbing for what seems like the rest of the race – I know that is not possible because you finish right where you started but it sure feels that way –
Overall a good race I finished with an AG3 in the small over 60 group –
