Race Recap By Ken Frankenbery:

Just like last year the weather forecast was threatening rain and storms.  Luckily I showed up, the rain held off, and I raced hard.

My first 2 mile run went well with a 14:08 split and 7:04 pace. I had a good transition, got to the bike, and pushed hard.  I averaged 18 mph on the bike leg.  Another quick transition and off to the second run leg.  Second run leg split was15:06 with a 7:33 pace.

I was happy with my race performance finishing 20th overall and 3rd in my age group.  A guy from PA won my division.  It was great showing from Team ER.

Race Recap By Steve Zenar:

Great race! I finished 24th overall and 5th in my age group. My goal was to beat last year’s time and get some personal PR’s  Goal accomplished: 2021 – 1:08:07; 2022 – 1:07:47! Some days it’s about beating yourself!

Race Recap By Nancy Wardell:

I completed the Four Leaf Clover Four Miler Run in Akron this morning and it was a beautiful day! I took my time because my knee was sore.  I am pretty happy I ran the whole thing instead of walking like I anticipated.  It was a little bit of a challenge with the hills and weaving around the cemetery, but the course was well marked and I even found a couple running buddies from other races! I finished the run at 41:59 and had a pace of 10:30 today. They even had hotdogs and beer waiting at the finish line so you can’t complain about that!

Race Recap By Nancy Wardell:

I completed the Wolf Creek Wine Run 5k with Cleopatra Sirnic Clifford.  I was very thankful for a fellow teammate to warm up with and conquer this very tricky course winding back and forth through grape vineyards and up and down hills!  Wow, that was tougher than I thought it would be.   Cleopatra finished 3rd in her group with a finishing time of 31:06 and I placed 7th in my group finishing at 30:49. Thank goodness for the glass of wine at the finish!

Race Recap By Nancy Wardell:

Completed the 2022 Women’s 6K Festival Run in downtown Canton, Ohio! The elites went first and then the rest of us were released! There were so many ladies and tons of energy! I placed 3rd in my age group completing the race in 33 minutes and 23 seconds with a pace of 8 minutes 58 seconds, which I’m happy with with my right knee being a little achy. Awesome day and very thankful for the experience!!
