Race Recap By George McFall:

A Christmas Eve tradition continues… I ran the Frosty 5 mile race this morning in Hudson. It was colder than expected which caused whatever moisture that was on the roads to freeze so there was ice on most of the course. I was reevaluating my approach then decided to just get after it but try to not take a spill. Mission accomplished! There was a large turnout—over 800 participants. Santa was at the start and finish. The best part about doing this race is seeing so many familiar faces and being able to catch up with some of them. Oh, and the 1,2, 3 cookies after the race were delicious. I felt I earned them after running so well. I placed 2nd in my age group and 47th overall. I missed out on 1st by 2 seconds.

Race Recap By Steve Zenar:

I had a wonderful time at the Frosty 5 Miler in Hudson, OH. This race has become an annual tradition for me and I always enjoy my time burning a few calories before settling in for a little Christmas celebrating with Family.  It was great to see so many Team ER teammates at the race this year! I placed 12th of 38 in my age group and personally had a great run setting several PR’s along the course (the only obstacle this year was slippery road due to a bit of black ice– fortunately no falling for me.
Wishing everyone on a Safe, Happy, and Healthy Holiday season & a Happy New Year!
See you all out on a course in 2026!
Race Recap By Lisa Keane:
Nothing like kicking off your Christmas holiday w/ a quick 5 mile run surrounded by over 800 of your closest running buddies! Start / finish located in Hudson square was absolutely beautiful with all the lights & decorations, music & cookies! Only thing missing was the snow.
Roads were ice covered so it did slow everyone a bit but I was happy with my “cautious” pace and placed 5/43 in my age group!
I can see this as a new holiday tradition!
Race Recap By Brittany Kiehl:
he race takes place on Christmas Eve every year. This was my fourth time participating and is a fun tradition. My family did the one mile race and it was very family friendly. However, the roads were quite slick with the black ice. At the finish line, Santa was giving high fives. There was hot cocoa, cookies and all kinds of snacks.
All runners received a wooden medal that doubles as an ornament. If you wanted you could choose to pay extra to receive a short sleeve tri blend tee (red or green) or a white tech tee with the race logo. Overall, a fun experience and would highly recommend this one!
