Race Recap By Lisa Keane:
Today we ran with Bob Smith in our hearts! I was lucky to have known and run with Bob. Bob always had a huge smile and words of encouragement for everyone out on the course. I know that he is smiling down on us as we celebrate him at this 6th annual 5K memorial race.
Easy directions and plenty of free parking
Organized indoor packet pick up, staging, restrooms, and awards.
Gun start- chip timing on a flat, fast well marked course.
Plenty of friendly volunteers, water aid station, and police presence for safety
Awesome after party with pizza, fruit, delicious protein balls, and other snacks!
Door prizes and awards for overall and 10 year age group winners.
Happy to place 6th overall female and earn 1st in my age group this chilly Sunday afternoon.
Loved hanging with some fellow Team ER peeps! Congratulations to all!
$20 entry fee with a nice SS Tee or $10 no shirt option is the best deal in town.
All proceeds got toward local HS scholarships.
Race Recap By Josh Keane:
The 6th annual Run with Bob was fun as always. A great race with friends old and new. Flat and fast through Tuscora Park and the neighborhood in New Philadelphia. It is never a bad idea to get out together and remember friends who have gone before us. Very well organized and indoor packet pick up as well as after party. We had a great turn out for Team ER as well. I ran a little slow today and ended up taking fourth in my age group. Over all it was a great day and another race we are likely to do again.
Race Recap By Nancy Wardell:
I completed the Run For Bob 5k in New Philadelphia, OH today with a nice handful of Team ER teammates! Congratulations to everyone who ran today! This is a great course and is marked very very well. Great after party and award ceremony that is held inside with pizza, bananas, chips, clementines, and peanut butter protein balls that were delicious! I finished 5th in my age group at 30:09 and a pace of 9:42.
