Kristi lives in Kent, Ohio
Kristi started running in 2006 with The Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training Program. She trained with them for her first event which was The Nike Women’s ½ Marathon in San Francisco in 2007. In 2009, she stepped into a mentorship role with the program and trained with them for her first full marathon in Columbus, Ohio. This is where her love affair with running began and hasn’t stopped since.
Kristi also competed in a couple sprint triathlons and a handful of Ultras. In 2021, one of her running goals was achieved when she qualified for the Boston Marathon. During her marathon training she learned so much and was able to grow stronger as a runner. She learned the importance of incorporating strength training, speedwork and yoga. into her training. She also experienced a sense of community that was just amazing. Kristi loves to be a part of the local running community in Northeast Ohio which she feels is phenomenal.
Kristi enjoys the running community, and hearing and talking with other athletes about their goals and accomplishments. At the end of the day, Kristi feels we’re all in this crazy marathon called life together so why not encourage each other at every mile.
