Cleopatra Sirnic Clifford
Born and raised in Pennsylvania Cleopatra now resides in Rootstown , Ohio.
Cleopatra has worked for the Akron Public Schools for 25 years and currently teaches 2nd grade.
Cleopatra was the Team ER Runner Top Point Earner in 2022 and the 2nd Place Runner Point Earner in 2021.
Upon moving to Ohio, I walked, did aerobics, and ran for short distances, then I meet a group at the Canal Square YMCA and the story starts there. I have never forgotten my first, uninterrupted mile at the YMCA. My first run was a 5k through Glendale Cemetery. I am someone that enjoys and understands the importance of exercising. I do like a solo run, or bike, but I also like a running buddy, or ” buddies” for accountability and friendship.
I have done races in the past with my girls in running strollers and I loved it. ( I like to think that is part of the reason for their sportsmanship and wanting to be healthy and have fun.)
I have run quite a bit of 5ks, some 10ks, my fair share of half marathons and 2 marathons. I would like to run another full marathon in the fall of 2021. I have done indoor and outdoor triathlons.
My students ask what my hobbies are ; I tell them cleaning, working out , dancing, reading and watching a good movie. I hope they find balance as I try to do!
