Race Recap By Josh Keane:
What a great way to start my Saturday! Fantastic race today with Team ER at the Goodyear 1/2 Marathon. The weather was perfect and the course was challenging but fun. My focus is on training for the Canal Corridor 100 in October and this 1/2 marathon fit well in the training schedule. We had so much fun and the after party was outstanding with great food, drinks, and entertainment.
Race Recap By Lisa Keane:
Not my best half but also not my worst. This is the longest run since my surgery and it actually went better than I expected.
Super organized with tons of volunteer support & police presence. I very much enjoyed the course with plenty of spectator access points & Goodyear landmarks including the blimp itself flying overhead! Great swag & after party with live music, food, adult beverages, & ice cream!
Congrats Team ER! Love seeing all those smiling faces out there today!
Race Recap By Steve Zenar:
I had an awesome time at the Goodyear Half Marathon & 10K this morning, achieving a new 10K PR, which was my main goal. Perfect weather and great to see everyone and share motivational cheers along the course.
Race Recap By George McFall:
Running around the Goodyear test track to start the Goodyear Half Marathon & 10k never gets old. It really energizes you ! One takes that energy with them as they hit the streets and it carries them to and across the finish line in front of Goodyear HQ. This is the 10th year for this race and I believe I have done all 10. I have done both the half marathon and 10k. Today I did the 10k. I wasn’t sure if I was even going to race due to an issue that popped up during a training run on Wednesday. Rest and at home rehab helped me toe the line this morning. I still ran cautiously at the start and then opened up a little more on the last 2 miles. Sub 7 on mile 6. I placed 2nd in my age group and 46th overall. My chip time was 44:23, pace 7:09. This race is top notch! I love that they call the names of the runners as they approach the finish line. Great job Jasen Sokol. The after race party includes food, beverages, ice cream and live music, Always a good time! Can’t wait for next year! Congratulations to members of the Team-ER crew that laced up the shoes today. It was great seeing some of your faces pre and during the race. Also saw so many other familiar faces post race. The running community is awesome.
Race Recap By Veronica Neubert:
It was a beautiful morning for a run! I’m glad I was able to make it on time due to so much construction. Thanks Terri for helping me! Always fun to run with the team ! #ohioteamer A new 10k PR! and Swenson’s!
Race Recap By Renee Buckus:
I’m not the strongest or fastest runner out there but I am a runner that struggled big time with postpartum depression and a slew of self doubt thoughts. These 13+ miles felt good and I felt so strong and I finished hard and I am so proud of myself. I know there are so many inspiring people in this world (especially with the Olympics happening right now!) but please let me tell you that you can do hard things. Especially to the mamas out there… don’t let anything stop you and always fight for it!
Race Recap By Brittany Kiehl:
The 10K course showcased many iconic landmarks of Goodyear. It was fun starting on Goodyear’s Proving Grounds with the blimp flying overhead. I loved how the shirts and medals both featured the winged foot. As always great post race festivities!
