Race Recaps By Felicia Neal:

This weekend I am participating in The Run For Home Second Sole 10K-Half Challenge. Today was the 10k and compared to last year, I rocked it and got 1st place in my age group. I love this running series since its very close to my home and it is always a fun turnout. I saw a lot of my friends! The running community is so supportive and kind here in Ohio. I am very fortunate to have met so many amazing runners. Tomorrow is the half marathon and I am looking forward to round 2!

Today was the Run for Home Half and it was so much fun. I went out much slower today then the 10k yesterday. The race was very well marked and they had a abundance of amazing volunteers. I got 6th in my age group! There was a post party at Hoodletown and we all received a celebratory beer for a race well ran! After I drank a beer, ate a burger, I hit the wall hard and had to get my ass home to take a nap. I just woke up!

Race Recaps By Nancy Wardell:

I completed the Cleveland Clinic Run for Home 10k this morning. This race is always very well organized and every turn is well marked with signs and volunteers! I didn’t finish as well as I hoped, but loved all the goodies, pizza, seeing my other teammates, and being outside!! I finished at a time of 1:02:07 and with a pace of 10:01 and 5th in my age group. It was a good run and I didn’t stop, so I can’t complain!

I ran the Cleveland Clinic Half Marathon this morning and it kicked my butt! It was still very well organized and I earned my challenger hoodie for completing the 10k yesterday and half marathon today, which I really appreciated! I enjoyed the pizza and extra goodies including a free beer from Hoodlestowns Brewery and a bonus raffle gift for Dumont’s Sporting goods in canton!

Race Recaps By Lori Fritz:

This is my second year of volunteering for this race! I have had so much fun at the 5k & 10k split off point for the Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital Run for Home because I get to see and cheer on all of my running friends! We had beautiful weather for the race this morning. I do have a bit of a problem of pointing to my right and telling the 5k people to turn left, but maybe next year I’ll get it correct! Haha!
I am sure I violated some noise ordinance by ringing my cowbells, but it may be worse next year because I plan to play some good music!
As much as I would love to run the 10k, being out there and cheering everyone on just feels very rewarding!

This was my first time running this as a half marathon. Many moons ago, I had ran it twice as part of a relay team. I very much enjoyed the fact that some of the community got involved and were out cheering on participants! Did very well time-wise with a 2:06:34 finish and felt pretty good throughout the whole event! I was very happy with my second place age group award! the course was very well marked and well staffed with volunteers! Everyone had commented on the course change, but it was still interesting and challenging enough, and except for the two long boring straight stretches near the end, I found it to be a very nice course!
