I ran the Pumpkin Festival 5K in Barnesville, Ohio yesterday morning and had a great time! The weather was perfect and this race was a lot bigger than I expected with around 500 runners/walkers participating. I loved the course with clear markings at each turn and the post race activities were fantastic! Runners that placed received a beautiful trophy with a ceramic pumpkin attached on the top and a real pumpkin to take home and enjoy! They also provided food for everyone! Pasta salad, pizza, soda, and cookies!! I placed first in my age group with a time of 23:13 and pace of 7:29. I wasn’t feeling the greatest with my allergies jumping, so I’m pretty happy with that!
