Brad Hain
Brad Joined Team ER In 2023
Brad is originally from Massillon, Ohio but for the last 25 + years he and his wife Jamie have called Hudson, Ohio home.
Brad had a very successful career in marketing. In 2009 Brad cofounded 427 Design, a nationally recognized award-winning graphic design firm in Akron, OH. Brad was the President of 427 Design until 2022 when he retired.
For Brad athletics started early in life. In High School he competed in football, basketball, and baseball. While attending Kent State University Brad was a pitcher on the baseball team. Brad also enjoys golf, cycling, hiking, backpacking, bowling, and describes himself as a long-time gym rat participating in weight training, HIIT classes, yoga, swimming and more.
Brad’s hobbies include playing guitar, cooking, reading, glassblowing, and (slowly) restoring a 1956 Corvette.
Brad is always in search of his next great outdoor adventure. Some of his more memorable outdoor adventures include scuba diving and snorkeling in Hawaii and the Florida Keys, backpacking with his son at Glacier National Park, and a 14,000ft climb / hike of Mauna Loa Volcano in Hawaii.
Brad used to think he was “running” as a college and high school athlete by jogging and sprinting maybe 2-3 miles at a time. He occasionally ran a mile or two throughout most of his adult fitness training. Around 2010 Brad made some friends at LifeCenter Plus in Hudson and started joining them on their shorter training runs. Brad was eventually “coerced” into running the finish leg of the Akron Marathon relay. At that moment he finally understood what all the excitement was about when he turned the corner into the stadium and heard all the cheers from everyone encouraging him (and all the other runners) along the way to the finish line! At that point he was hooked and has been gradually building upon and improving every year since.
Brad enjoys being part of the local running community and finds it inspiring and fun to be around. Brad is excited to be a part of Team ER and hopes it will help push him to another level by rubbing elbows with some very motivated people. Brad’s goal is to run the Boston Marathon
Brad’s race resume includes 4 marathons, a dozen or so half marathons, and numerous 10K’s, 8K’s, and 5K’s. Brad has also completed several duathlons and a sprint triathlon. He is frequently seen placing in his age division at many of the races he competes in.
