Stephanie was captain of her volleyball team in high school and participated in various intramural teams at Mount Union College. She began running in 2010 after being invited to be part of a relay team with her coworkers for the Akron Marathon. After experiencing the energy of that first race, Stephanie hasn’t stopped! As of 2023, she has run two full marathons, twenty half marathons, and too many smaller distance races to keep track. She has also discovered the absolute joy of being a race volunteer and has volunteered for over 7 years for Akron Marathon events.
Stephanie has been a secret fan of Team ER. Seeing the friendly supportive groups of Team ER members in matching uniforms at many running and biking events made her interested in the team. She admired the collective support everyone provided one another as well as the bonds the athletes had with one another and wanted to experience that for herself. Stephanie is excited to be a member of Team ER to help encourage and motivate others and be part of what she calls the ultimate hype group of Team ER!
