Youngstown Ymca Triathlon – July 19th, 2009
Team ER members Matt Geis and Hayes Calvert traveled to Youngstown, Ohio this past weekend to compete in the Ymca Triathlon. They both represented the team well with both finishing in the top 5 overall and taking podium spots in their age group. Results are as follow:
Hayes Calvert – 3rd overall/1st age group – 58 mins 43 secs
Matt Geis – 5th overall/2nd age group – 1 hr 01 mins 10 secs

XTERRA Triathlon and Duathlon
Team ER members Henry Hauenstien and Derek Marquardt both placed in thier age groups at the XTERRA race held at West Branch State Park on July 19th, 2009. There results are as follow:
Triathlon
Henry Hauenstein – 1st age group/12th overall – 2hrs 03 mins 27secs.
Henry’s performance was outstanding and he improved last years time by over twenty minutes. NICE JOB HENRY
Duathlon
Derek Marquardt – 2nd age group/10th overall – 2hrs 42 mins 55secs

Buckeye Trail 50k – July 18th,2009
Team ER member Beth Woodward took 1st overall female and 12th overall in the grueling summer edition of the Buckeye Trail 50k.
The Buckeye Trail run is run on sections of the trail in the Cuyahoga Valley and is a true test of endurance. Beth’s blistering pace of 4hrs 42 mins and 27 secs earner her the top female spot on the podium.
Luke Gorris Triathlon Debut
Future team member Luke Gorris, son of team members Mark and Lisa, made his triathlon debut this past weekend at the North canton YMCA youth triathlon. Following in his parents footsteps Luke put forth a solid performance in the 5-7 age group.
The race included a 25 yard swim, 1 mile bike and a 1 mile run that Luke powered through to the delight and disbelief of his family.
Looks like the Gorris’s are going to be on the podium for some time to come.
Way to go Luke.
Henry Hauenstien qualifies for XTERRA worlds
Team ER member Henry Hauenstien qualified for XTERRA worlds with and out standing performance and age group win at XTERRA Richmond.

Planet X Triathlon – June 21st, 2009
Once again Team ER demonstrated it is quickly becoming a force on the local triathlon circuit. Most recently the team was at the Planet X triathlon held at Munroe Falls Park in Munroe Falls, Ohio where Team ER members took 3rd and 4th overall and four age group awards.

O.N.E. Triathlon Kick – Off June 7th, 2009
Team ER was out in force at the O.N.E. triathlon kick-off held at Clays Park. This early season sprint triathlon is always very competitive and Team ER showed well bringing home a couple of age group awards.
