Canton Marathon and Half Marathon

Marathon Results

Like Ron Hudas, I had a blast running the Inaugural Canton Marathon along my group of running friends from the Jackson Y.  The course was definitely a challenging one with plenty of rolling hills.  The 6am start along with excellent community support and ample fluid/gatorade stops made a June Marathon in humid NE Ohio bearable and doable.  The plan was to run it for fun as a “Pack” and that is what we did as 8 of us crossed the line together in a time of 3:41.

Steve Bable
29th age group 234 overall time 3:57:07

Zia Snyder
Canton marathon success! 26 miles of rolling hills, but with only 2 months of training I finished 3:37. 2nd in my age group and 16th female overall.

1/2 Marathon Results

Chip Wilson – 2nd in age group 26th overall time of 1:27:54

Ray Fryan – 4th in age group and overall time of 1:32:01.

Ron Hudas – nice training run pace of 1:45

The Blossom – Brenda O`Hara

Last weekend I ran the Blossom time 5.25 miler in 50:21. And this weekend I just returned from America’s most beautiful bike ride in Lake Tahoe. A century ride full of climbing and descending switchbacks. What an experience! Because it’s a “ride” and not a race, they want you to enjoy the scenery and it’s not timed. Excluding water stops and lunch my bikes computer  said 6 hrs 46 min.
