Cleveland Triathlon – August 8th, 2010

This event held in downtown Cleveland, Ohio was attended by four Team ER members. The results are as follow:

Pete Finnerty – Olympic Distance – 2:21:43 – 4th age group/18th overall

Terry Horner – Olympic Distance – 2:36:39 – 9th age group/58th overall

Julie Krause – Olympic Distance – 2:56:54 – 5th age group/115th overall

Matt Geis – Sprint Distance – 1:24 – 2nd age group/ 16th overall

XTERRA Appalachia – PA

Once again Team ER members took to the dirt competing in the exciting XTERRA series. Ken Frankenberry and Henry Hauenstien traveled East to PA to compete. Their results are as follow:

Ken Frankenberry – 1:59:38 – 1st age group/8th overall

Henry Hauenstien – 2:34:17 – 2nd age group/74th overall

EAst Fork Sprint Triathlon – August 1st, 2010

The fourth stop on the Wheelie Fun Triathlon and Duathlon Series is at East Fork State Park. This race site has been a Cincinnati tradition for more than 25 years. Triathletes will start off with a 750 meter swim (1-lap Sprint, 2-laps Olympic) in East Fork Lake. Duathletes will start off with challenging 5k out and back run. The bike courses feature a rolling loop east of Rt. 125 for both the sprint and international distance races. The final run is an out and back 5k run (1-lap Sprint, 2-laps Olympic) that features a a big hill at the start, then levels out for the remaining run.

Competing at this years race was Team ER’s Dave Micelli who ran a 1:10 earning him second place overall.

Whirlpool Ironman 70.3 Steelhead

This years race held on July 31st included two Team ER members. Mark Gorris and Chris Schmauder, who were both forced to withdraw in 2009 due to injuries, returned to slay this beast of a race. Erasing last years results and performing at the top of their games despite challenging weather Team ER is proud to announce the following results:

Mark Gorris – 4:36:48 – 13th age group/75th overall

Chris Schmauder – 5:38:40 – 90th age group/848 overall
