Seymour Mini-Marathon, May 5

Ray Fryan – Peggy (my wife) and I competed in the Seymour Mini-Marathon (a half, named after the Indy Mini).

I was 2nd overall, 1:24:31, 1st age group (they only handed out overall awards to the overall winners – guys, ladies!)

Good race – very consistent splits.  Peggy won her age group also (2:00:06), so it was a pleasant drive back to Canton.

Pittsburgh 1/2 Marathon, June 5th

Chrissy Bowser- Completed the Pittsburgh Half Marathon on May 5, a week after the Nike Women’s Half in the Nation’s Capital. “I felt great throughout the race in Pittsburgh. It was a great race with wall-to-wall people…a fantastic course over five of Pittsburgh’s beautiful bridges.” Finished in 2:02:53, 4788 overall out of 15,000, 352 out of 1431 for my division…and almost a minute faster than my DC pace the week prior! Great weather, great crowds, bands almost every mile and the spirit of Pittsburgh abounds. Ideal race!
