Lynett McClay

Lynett joined Team ER in 2025

Lynett lives in Bolivar, Ohio with her husband John and youngest son. Lynett and John have another older son that lives in Mineral City with their grandson who Lynett describes as her heart and soul. Besides running races she stay busy with her son’s football and wrestling schedule along with watching her grandson a few times a week. Lynett is a big Ohio State Football and the Cleveland Guardians fan!  Lynett has been a nursing assistant for 29 year and since 2012 has worked for hospice which she loves.

Lynett began running in 2013 at the age of 40 yrs old. One day as she was driving to a facility and she saw a runner and said to herself “I want to do that” so her Lynett and her sister started with the Couch to 5K app. They would meet several times a week to run. Her goal at that time was to get healthy and lose some weight. From there she started to run 5K’s, 10K’s, half marathons and 50K’s. In 2017  she signed up for the Funny Bunny Race in Perry Township.  This is where she met her now best friends and fellow Team ER members Josh and Lisa Keane.  Lynett and Lisa run together several times a week and sometimes get together with their husband’s and run at Camp Tuscazoar.

Lynett’s current goal is to build up her endurance and possibly work towards her first 100 miler.

Lynett joined Team ER to be able to connect with other athletes who would like to partner in training and share their experiences and advice with nutrition and training schedules and just have fun!
