End Of The Road Half Marathon And One Tunnel Four Miler
Waterfall, PA
Kevin Christensen
Kevin volunteered for course duties and finish line duties while his wife Leslie was a pacer for the half marathon.
Race Recap By Kevin Christensen:
The End Of Road Half Marathon had great weather today. The roads are a little rough as they have been abandoned for decades but used daily for hiking. I made it out to the first tunnel to catch Leslie as she was pacing the 4 hour half marathon folks (which there turned out to be nobody). The tunnels are super dark with interesting graffiti that I will only show one so not to offend anyone. My volunteer jobs were helping with registration, metals, and finish refreshments. There was even a runner who was there with a Haunted Forest shirt. He said he will miss me being at haunted forest next weekend since he liked seeing me scare runners. It’s a two day event where runners can run a half both on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s race had had an incident where a man fell and had to be life flighted out. He is doing fine today but now has a very expensive ambulance bill. Saw a few skinned knees from today’s run.
