Race Recap By Terri Bednar:

I ran the Dirty Dash Half Marathon yesterday and had a blast! This course offered lots of hills, steps, rocks, tree roots and other obstacles to challenge participants. The course was beautiful too! Parking was super close and packet pickup and was a breeze as usual for Western Reserve Racing. I enjoyed the day and finished right before the rain started. I was also 2nd in my AG!! I will def be back next year!

Race Recap By Lisa Keane:

Dirty Dash Half Marathon
Same great trail series, brand new race!
Chip timing on a well marked course of mostly single track with all the rocks, roots, tree obstacles, stairs, water crossings, mud, and tons of elevation!
Beautiful forest views as well as creeks and waterfalls.
Post race hot lunch, swag options, and overall / age group awards 3 deep in 5 year increments.
I made a wrong turn on the 2nd loop and had to work extra hard to get back.  I was super excited to get 1st place in my age group by less than 2 minutes!

Race Recap By Felicia Neal:

Round 1 for this weekend was the Dirty Dash Half Marathon. I had a great time with team ER running this race. There where lots of hills and creek/river crossings with beautiful views of waterfalls and boulder ridges. The race was very well organized and marked even though we went a little off course. I tried to keep up with Lisa and Josh and truly pushed myself. With their help I placed 1st in my age group! Now it is time for bed to get ready for round 2.

Race Recap By Lynett McClay:

The Dirty Dash 1/2 marathon is a brand new race that Western Reserve put on in the South Chagrin Reservation. This course was well marked and beautiful. The course consists of all trail things such as mud, rocks, roots, stairs, 3 creek crossings, waterfalls, and elevation. Packet pick up was easy with simple directions and plenty of parking. This course was a figure 8 and every 3ish miles was an aid stations that had all the goodies for runners. Every runners received an soft t-shirt and finishers medals. Thank you to my husband John Mark Fabianich Mcclay who went out the last 3 miles to keep me going and finishing strong in the rain. Also thank you to Josh Keane , Lisa Keane , Felicia Neal and Terri Bednar for waiting and cheering me on at the finish.
