Today I did the Timbuk Winter Run Challenge 11k at 1pm. The weather was not in my favor, wind and sleet! I was supposed to do the 22k, but decided to stick with the 11k. The 22k was a 2 loop course and if you did not finish your first loop by 230p they dropped you to the 11k. So I decided to play it safe and complete the 11k. The course was very hilly and we ran through Timbuk Tree Farm,which was very pretty with the snow fall. After you completed the race you got soup and hot chocolate to warm your bones. I really liked this race, but I was not a fan of the 1st loop’s 230p cut off. Regardless I would do this course again. I got 4th in my age group!
