Race Recap By Josh Keane:

I had a great time with Lisa Keane at the first annual United Way Gameday 5k in Coshocton Ohio. Not a large race but a good course. I ended up getting a little more than 1/4 mile in bonus miles as I followed the runner in front of me instead of following the course markings! I still managed to get 5th place overall and first in my age group which may have been to the fact I was the only one in my age group.

Race Recap By Lisa Keane:

Well organized with easy packet pick up, lots of friendly volunteers & heavily supported race route for this inaugural race through the streets of Coshocton. Well marked, mostly flat & fast course with only one hill at the start. Very nice reusable swag bags, tee shirts, & medals for overall / age groups.
Not a huge crowd so I shaved a few seconds off of my last 5K pace and managed to place 3rd overall female and 1st in my age group!

I ran the Fit Family 5k at Walsh University in North Canton this morning! It was a beautiful morning for a race and this one had a few hills so it made me work a little harder for that finish line! I finished at 28:43 with a pace of 9:15 and 2nd in my age group! No awards for second place at this race but still got a nice shirt, tote, free 6 inch subway sandwich coupon, and some other goodies as well!

Race Recap By Josh Keane:

So much fun today with Lisa Keane and Nancy Wardell at the 2024 Oak Clinic Acorn 5k! A wonderful race for a great cause. Fast and flat with a lot of great snacks, volunteers and sponsors. I was very fortunate to place 7th overall and first in my age group today. It is always wonderful to see fellow Team ER team mates perform well, Lisa and Nancy had awesome runs as too!

Race Recap By Lisa Keane:

The Oak Clinic Acorn 5K was a flat & fast course around the clinic and Green HS well marked and monitored by police and volunteers.
Cute high visibility shirts and medals for overall and age group winners.  Lots of vendors, snacks, and giveaways. Love that 100% of all registration & sponsorship dollars benefit the patients who are cared for-regardless of ability to pay! Happy with my finish today cutting 3 minutes off of my last 5K time and placing 1st in my age group!

Race Recap By Nancy Wardell:

I ran the 2024 Oak Clinic Acorn 5K in Uniontown this morning with fellow teammates Josh Keane and Lisa Keane!! This is a great race with tons of great freebees and very slight elevation change. The turns are very well marked and signaled by volunteers for the runners and the results are posted very quickly by Mr. Richie himself!! I finished at 28:07 with a 9:04 pace and 6th in my age group! Was an absolutely beautiful day for a race and loved seeing my amazing teammates there with big smiles and sharing good times! Thanks for getting pictures Lisa and Josh and congratulations on placing in your age groups!!

Race Recap By Josh Keane:

For years we have heard that the Amish Country 1/2 Marathon was a great race. Finally we headed west and found out! Great race with big hills and great swag. 13th in my age group and 141st overall but pretty good pace for me today. Really enjoyed the course and the noodle at the end were fantastic! Well worth the price of admission. This one is definitely a race we will head back to run again.

Race Recap By Lisa Keane:

The 2024 Berlin Amish Country Half Marathon was super organized and well marked race on scenic country roads. 1000′ elevation with So. Many. Hills! Great swag, lots of giveaways, a large hinged medal, a bunch of confused barn animals, and one super cute baby calf!  Nice after party with photo ops and a delicious lunch featuring their famous hot noodles! Pretty sure we are doing this again next year!

I completed the Midvale Miners Jubilee 5K this morning, and finally placed 1st female overall! The catch is, only three of us showed up to race but we had such a good time and laughed and joked together before and after the race! It was a great race and I love new experiences and meeting great people! My finishing time was 28:02 with a pace of 9:03 which I feel pretty good with! They gave awesome prizes where I was given a $25 gift card to Dick’s Sporting Goods and some awesome chocolate chip cookies!! I loved this event and am grateful for another fun run!

Race Recap by Nancy Wardell:

I completed the 2024 Memorial 5k run in Dover this morning! It was a nice course with only a couple hills along the way and mostly in the grass going around the Dover Middle School’s baseball fields, pond, and football field. I finished at 27:25 with a pace of 8:50. I was second female overall and 6th to finish the race.  It was a small turn out.  They didn’t have an award ceremony for this race, which is fine because I’m just very happy with my time!

Race Recap By Brittany Kiehl:

The Minnehaha 5K was my first trail race since 2017. (I slipped and fell hard in the mud and lost my shoe so I swore I’d never do trail races again.) I decided to try to give trail races another chance. This race was a fun challenge on a beautiful course at Camp Manatoc. There were quite a few hills with one giant hill at the end that seemed to last forever. The course also took you past the Minnehaha Falls. The swag was your choice of a travel coffee mug, water bottle, or a pint cup. They also had a 15K or half marathon option. You could do both the 5K and then race the Leave No Trace Half Marathon. Overall, a great experience.

Race Recap By Josh Keane:

The Tuscazoar 100 was the toughest 50 miles I have ever run on trails but I loved every step! I had so much fun running the first 25 mile loop with Lisa Keane and then soaked up an awesome 25 mile loop in the dark. Great scenic trails with fun themed aid stations in the day. At night it is incredible to see the headlamps of other runners across the river or above and below your elevation. Excellent and fun aid stations that cannot be beat. I finished 9th out of 18 in my age group and 32 out of 95 for the 50 mile race. Great race that is definitely on my hit list for 2025!

Race Recap By Lisa Keane:

When I think “trail race”, this is exactly what comes to mind!  Beautiful technical trails complete with all the mining history of this former Boy Scout camp.
This is the toughest course I have ever run in Ohio and with the changes to this years course, it was 95% trail including a quick trip to our very own Keane’s River Ranch property!  25 miles and 3300’ elevation in 90 degree heat and over the top humidity.  I thought my brain was going to catch on fire! I finished 6th in my age group of 12 so right in the middle.

This is the hardest I have pushed since my surgery and I still have a long way to go but happy to be out there with you all!  Congratulations to all of the finishers! Let’s do it again next year!
