1st race of the day was Rocket Run 5k! Lori Fritz and I volunteered and checked in our fellow runners! This race is one of my favorites! The RD is extremely organized and passionate. After volunteering I ran the 5k and got 2nd Overall Female!

I volunteered and then ended up running (mostly) the Rocket Run this morning with teammate Felicia Neal. The course is a nice mix of asphalt and gravel roads that wind through the countryside. I had a little bit of trouble with the gravel sliding my feet out from under me, but my hamstring seemed to have held up nicely!!A big bonus were the shady spots! And one of the residents put out extra water along the route for the participants! Very thoughtful show of support by the Connoton Valley community!!
This event is well organized and very enjoyable with plenty of snacks at water and/or Gatorade at the finish!
