Race Recap By Josh Keane:

What a fantastic road trip to Virginia over the weekend. Bel Monte Endurance Races put in a great race. Lisa Keane and Felicia Neal joined me and another friend to conquer the 25k. Snow late last week put the 50k and 50 mile races on the modified snow trail but did not impact the 25k. This was a great course with solid elevation gain and beautiful views. The course was very technical especially a very long and rocky downhill section that was tricky! Aid stations were limited and spread out but adequate. Race directors and volunteers were awesome. We had a great time and all of us did well. This one will certainly be in our list to run again! This will be my final longer race before the Georgia Death Race later this month but I still finished 24th over all and third in my age group.

Race Recap By Lisa Keane:

A very beautiful & very technical race thru the Blue Ridge Mountains of VA.
2,541’ of elevation gain & loss on single / double track trails, Jeep road (with soooo many rocks), gravel & pavement.
Love the mascot on the soft SS tee and matching finishers medals
Had a great time running this with Team ER partner in crime, Felicia Neal! Took turns pushing each other and placed up placing in our age groups

Race Recap By Felicia Neal:

I had the best time at Bel Monte 25k in VA. It was a hard climb but gravity did its thing on the descent. Lots of big rock that made it hard to fly down the mountain but lots of fun. After our race we ate some AMAZING German food and beer! Followed by a long nap. The race was very well organized, marked well and was smooth. I would definitely do this race again.
